At Christie’s Late, I ran a workshop called ‘Mapping Movements’ inspired by the work of the artist Zarina Hashmi, who documents her family’s migration post 1947 Partition.
As a group we reflected on journeys that hold value to us, and mapped them through collaging and embroidery. I’ve created this kit to guide you through this workshop at home, the kit includes:
Instruction sheet
Embroidery needle
3 x A5 sheets of coloured card
5 x sheets National Geographic spreads
3 x embroidery thread (in complimentary colours)
